There are plenty of examples of this, but one of the most glaring in recent memory has been the popularity of Gungrave over the past few years. Here’s what made it such a big deal, and why the new Gungrave G.O.R.E game might have finally unseated the original as king of its genre.

Gameplay of Gungrave G.O.R.E
Being a 2D side-scrolling beat ’em up, Gungrave G.O.R.E has gameplay that feels much like many of the classic games from decades ago. Unlike most modern games, there is no directional control and you can’t jump, but this is to be expected as it’s meant to replicate the gameplay of an arcade fighting game. Gameplay consists of pressing one button to punch and one button to shoot your gun (basic machine gun) at enemies.
The punches are useful for close range combat and the bullets are for long-range attacks. You can also hold down the buttons for continuous fire which is good for taking out multiple enemies at once or bosses if you have enough ammunition

All About Evil West
Gameplay of Evil West
Evil West is a game with a lot of potential and an interesting storyline, but it falls short in the gameplay department. The game is riddled with bugs and feels like it was rushed to be released before it had been properly debugged.
It also has a rather steep learning curve, which makes the game feel unforgiving at times, as well as repetitive combat that becomes boring after a while. Despite its shortcomings, Evil West has some redeeming qualities such as its fantastic voice acting, intriguing story and satisfying boss battles.
Storyline of Evil West
Evil West is a story of high fantasy and adventure, set in the world of Westria. In this land, the struggle to maintain power has led to a state of chaos with four major factions vying for control. The savage Orcs have always been an invading threat, but now they are part of the political system for the first time ever in their history.
The King’s court has turned into an untrustworthy den of thieves where only those who play by the rules can expect to survive unscathed. Dragons from across the sea have come out of hiding and begun terrorizing these lands, endangering any who cross their path and challenging our understanding of life itself as we know it.

He does not trust anyone, even himself, since he’s aware that humans are capable of making mistakes; if anything goes wrong then it’s always possible for him to be the one responsible for it all.
Graphics of Evil West
Evil West was created by the twisted minds of indie game developers, and it is no surprise that this game is not for the weakhearted. As you can see from the graphics of Evil West, there are plenty of horrific images to scare your socks off.
The most frightening part of Evil West is not just the graphics, but also how terrifyingly realistic they are. It seems like every time you turn a corner in Evil West, there is something more haunting than before waiting to jump out at you!

Conclusion
After looking at both of these projects, it’s clear that Gungrave is the better pick. The team is solid and they’ve had a lot of experience in their line of work so far, which is clearly evident when you look at their past work. Furthermore, the game has been in development for a lot longer than Evil West and will be finished sooner, meaning that backers won’t have to wait as long for something tangible to come out of their investment.
In addition, Evil West also has more competition from other games in the genre such as Resident Evil 7 and Silent Hill Origins which would make it difficult for them to stand out from the pack if they were released around the same time.
