Nintendo Hunts Down Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Leaker on Discord – Nintendo has asked Discord to turn over information about the person who shared an early look at an art book for The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.
Somebody who had a copy of the art book for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom shared an early look at the book on Discord.
The game’s art book won’t be released until next month, so some of the game’s spoilers have already been revealed in the book’s images.
Since the leak, Torrentfreak has reported that Nintendo has been using the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to take down the leaked images.
Nintendo lawyers tried to find out who leaked the art book for Tears of the Kingdom, and they subpoenaed Discord in California.
If the subpoena is approved, Discord will have to give the identity of the leaker – including their name, address, telephone number, and email address – to the court.
Discord helped Nintendo take down images of Zelda games that were leaked before they were supposed to be released. Discord agreed to help Nintendo do this back in February.
Nintendo asked Discord to review and take down a channel where people were sharing leaked information about their games, and they said that images were still being shared even after the original takedown.
Discord warned the server, but didn’t delete it. The game Tears Of The Kingdom is coming out on May 12. Nintendo has released a bunch of trailers for it, and they look really cool.
A second trailer for the Switch game was released in February, and a 12-minute demo of Tears of the Kingdom was shared in March. for more detail click the link.
